Biography

Dr. Jonathan Song was born in Ames, Iowa, but spent most of his childhood and teenage years in South Korea. Dr. Song holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota (UMN). He then went on to pursue a Doctorate of Dental Science degree from the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry. He graduated with the volunteer recognition award from the Union Gospel Mission. He completed a rigorous training program called General Practice Residency (GPR) at the Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center (RLANRC), in Downey, CA. He finished the training with a “best resident of the year” recognition award. He worked as an associate for numerous well-known private practices and was fortunate to have served a variety of patients and came across a variety of cases during that time.

Dr. Jonathan Song is committed to continuing education and takes many advanced courses each year to enhance his skills to best serve the dental care needs of his patients. He successfully completed world class continuing education courses from Kois Center, which is one of the best advanced dental trainings in the world. Dr. Song takes at least 100-150 hours of advanced clinical training from well-known world-class clinicians in the world each year.

He is a member of many professional affiliations, including the American Dental Association, the Korean American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the California Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Association of Dental Research, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society, the Contemporary Dental Institute, and the Pacific Implant Academy.

Dr. Jonathan Song believes the most important aspect of dentistry is the positive relationship between a care provider team and their patients. He donates his time once a week to local hospitals to provide quality dental care to the community and aspires to be the most caring dentist in Southern California.
